Who we are

The data controller for this site is Wolds Cyber Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17143627. Questions about this policy or your data: hello@woldscyber.co.uk.

The short version

The tools on this site run entirely in your browser. The letters, text, passwords and numbers you enter are processed on your device and are never transmitted to us or anyone else. We could not read them if we wanted to. There are no accounts, no forms and no advertising cookies.

What is actually processed

1. Hosting logs. The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard connection data (IP address, user agent, requested page, timestamp) to deliver pages and defend against abuse. We rely on legitimate interest as the lawful basis for running a website at all. These logs are retained briefly under Cloudflare's standard retention and are not used by us to identify visitors.

2. Cookieless analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies, fingerprinting or storing anything on your device, and gives us aggregate numbers only (which pages are read, roughly where from). Lawful basis: legitimate interest in knowing which tools are useful.

3. Static assets. Pages fetch their own files: styles, fonts, word lists and code libraries. These requests carry the same standard connection data as any page load and nothing you typed. If a future tool ever needs an external service to function (for example live currency rates), that will be disclosed plainly on that tool's own page before you use it.

4. Email. If you email us, we hold your message and address for as long as needed to deal with it. Lawful basis: legitimate interest in answering you.

What we never do

We do not collect tool inputs, sell or share data, run advertising trackers, set marketing cookies or profile visitors. If ad space on this site is ever filled, consent will be sought before any advertising cookie is set, as the cookie policy explains.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. In practice we hold almost nothing about you (usually only an email you chose to send), and we will respond to any request at hello@woldscyber.co.uk within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and any material change to what is processed will be flagged on this page. This page is flagged for periodic legal review.
