Delete pages from a PDF
Scanners love inserting blank pages, and page 13 was never meant for the client. Mark the offenders, keep everything else.
Guide
How to use it
- Drop the PDF in.
- Tap the pages to remove, they mark red, or type them as a range.
- Tap Delete selected pages, everything unmarked survives in order.
- Download the cleaned file. The original is untouched if you picked wrong.
Examples
Pages that deserve it
Double-sided scanning of single-sided paper inserts a blank after every page. Tap the evens, delete, and the file halves.
Page 4 is the superseded price list. Delete it here, then merge the corrected page in with the merge tool, page surgery without a PDF editor licence.
Fax-era cover sheets and scanner banner pages add nothing. Page 1 marked red, document starts where it should.
Method
How it works
Deletion is implemented as keep-the-rest: unmarked pages copy into a fresh document in order, marked ones simply are not copied. The source file is never modified, a wrong deletion costs a redo, not a document.
Deleted pages are genuinely absent from the new file, not hidden. And as with extraction: deleting pages is not redaction of content on remaining pages.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can I recover a page I deleted?
From the new file, no, it is not in there. From your original, always, the original never changes. Redo with the right selection.
Can I delete every page?
No, the tool insists at least one page survives, an empty PDF helps nobody.
How do I find blank pages quickly?
In a double-sided scan they are usually the even numbers, type 2, 4, 6… or the pattern your scanner produces. A quick scroll in your PDF reader confirms before you mark.
Does deleting reduce file size?
Yes, roughly in proportion, though fonts and images shared across pages keep it from being exactly linear.
Does the page numbering shift after deletion?
Physical pages renumber automatically, page 5 of the new file is whatever followed the deletions. Printed page numbers on the pages themselves obviously keep their ink.
Where does the processing happen?
In your browser. The file, the selection and the result stay on your device.
