Merge PDF
Drop the PDFs, set the order, download one file. The merge happens on your device, your documents are never uploaded to anyone, including us.
Guide
How to use it
- Drop up to 20 PDFs onto the tool. Page counts appear as each file is read.
- Reorder with the up and down arrows, the merged document follows this list top to bottom.
- Remove anything that wandered in with the × button.
- Tap Merge and download the combined PDF.
Examples
Merges with a deadline
Main agreement, schedule A, schedule B, signature page: four files become the single document the other side actually asked for.
Three months of payslips and bank statements in one PDF for the broker. Documents this sensitive are exactly why the merge is local.
Half the pages scanned on one phone app, half on another: merge them in order and nobody can tell.
Method
How it works
Each PDF is parsed on your device by pdf-lib, its pages are copied in order into a fresh document, and the result is saved locally. Bookmarks and form fields do not survive page-copying, page content, size and orientation do.
The privacy difference is structural, not policy: upload-based mergers hold your documents on their servers under a promise, this one never receives them at all.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is there a size or page limit?
Twenty files per merge, and memory is the practical page limit, hundreds of pages merge comfortably on an ordinary laptop.
Do password-protected PDFs work?
No, encrypted files cannot be opened without their password. Unlock them in your PDF reader first (print to PDF is the blunt workaround), the tool marks them and skips them.
Will bookmarks and links survive?
Internal page content survives, bookmarks and cross-file links do not, page-copying rebuilds the document structure. For most paperwork this costs nothing.
Can I merge the same file twice?
Yes, drop it twice, useful for duplicating a cover sheet.
Does merging recompress my pages?
No, page content is copied, not re-rendered. Text stays text, scans stay at their scanned quality.
Why does the merged file open on the wrong page?
Viewers remember positions per file name. The merged file is new, it opens at page one everywhere.
