Screen recorder, no watermark

The watermark-free recorder that is free because there is nothing to upsell: your browser does the recording, this page just asks it nicely.

Guide

How to use it

  1. Press start, choose the tab, window or screen, and record, mic optional.
  2. Stop, preview, download. The WebM is clean: no logo corner, no trial banner, no resolution cap.
  3. That is the whole guide, the absence of hoops is the feature.

Examples

Why recorders watermark, and why this one cannot

THE UPSELL MODEL

Watermarks exist to convert free users to paid, the mark is added when their server re-processes your upload. Annoying, but at least visible.

THE QUIET COSTS

The subtler catches on "free" recorders: 5 or 10 minute caps, 720p ceilings, sign-up walls, and your recording sitting on their storage. Each is a lever their pricing page pulls.

THE STRUCTURAL FIX

This recorder never sees your video, encoding happens in your browser, the file goes from memory to your downloads. There is no server to add a watermark, cap the length or keep a copy.

Method

How it works

Identical machinery to the main screen recorder page: getDisplayMedia capture, optional mic mixed in, MediaRecorder encoding WebM locally, download from a blob. The "no watermark" claim is verifiable in the architecture, no recording ever leaves your machine to be stamped.

The trade this design accepts: no cloud gallery, no share links, no server-side MP4 transcode. Files land in your downloads folder and belong entirely to you, which is rather the point.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the catch?

WebM output (convert locally if you need MP4), desktop browsers only, and no cloud features. No watermark, cap, account or upload, the catch-shaped things are absent.

Is the quality limited on the free version?

There is no paid version. Recording resolution matches what you share, share a 4K screen and the file is 4K.

Can a watermark be removed from an existing video?

Not cleanly, cropping or blurring damages the frame, and removal tools breach most services’ terms. Re-recording without one, here, is the honest route.

How long can I record?

No imposed limit, memory is the practical one (roughly an hour comfortably on a modern laptop). Chunk marathon sessions.

Do I need an account?

No account exists to make. The page works the moment it loads, offline too once cached.

Really no upload at all?

Really. Watch the network tab while recording, after the page loads, nothing leaves. That is the whole trust argument, and it is inspectable.

Screen recorder, no watermark

The watermark-free recorder that is free because there is nothing to upsell: your browser does the recording, this page just asks it nicely.

Your browser will ask what to share, a tab, a window or the whole screen, and shows its own recording indicator throughout. Tab audio can be included where the browser offers the tick-box.

No upload, no watermark, no time limit, the recording is assembled in your browser’s memory and saved straight to your device.
